With cameras popping up on everything these days I find it even more important to have portraits taken. We have all become content with “phone” snap shots that never get printed as a form of record. Well, I don’t except that and I am sure you deserve better than that.

My view of portraits come from a family belief in genealogy. I find nothing more exciting than looking over old images and taking a glimpse into my family’s past. Those images wouldn’t exist if my great great grandparents had a smartphone.

Another way to look at the purpose of having a great image taken to be seen the way you want to be seen. I would hate to be immortalized in a underexposed photo with a drink in hand and with clutter in the background.

Having your photo taken and turning that image into art is an investment you can be proud of. It’s an investment in your newborn, children or the whole family that you can enjoy everyday. Don’t let more time slip by with nothing to look back on.

What’s more important, dinner and a movie for the whole family for one night or a precious image to remember them by. I think you know the answer.

PORTRAIT INVESTMENT

I offer both studio and on-location portraits. Sessions tend to last 1 hour in the studio and up to 2 hours on location.

Occasionally, I can accommodate a last minute sitting but usually suggest scheduling about 4 weeks in advance.

Session fees cover my time and creativity, image processing, online proofing gallery and ordering consultation. All session fees include a $50.00 credit toward the purchase of prints and products with me.
